Sustainability

Hi, we’re Featherie.

We make sustainable, high-performance golf attire, so you kick *ss while saving the planet. Here’s how.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Let’s face it. The fashion industry has a major waste problem. Every year, 92 million tons of textile waste is produced––polluting the oceans and raising our carbon footprint. If we don’t turn things around, scientists predict we’ll see a 50% increase in carbon emissions over the next 10 years.

That’s why we’re finding a better way to make clothes you love… that actually last.

At Featherie, all of our clothes are made from recycled materials. We’re stretching our life cycle (while maintaining quality), and seeing the impact.

By using recycled materials, we’re reducing our carbon emissions by up to 80%. So when you wear Featherie, you can feel the difference. You’re also choosing expertly designed pieces you’ll wear over and over again. Gone are the days of replacing that same polo after every tournament.

TLDR: We’re using cleaner fabrics for a cleaner world.

The Receipts

GRS certified

We’ve tracked and verified that 100% of our pieces are made from recycled materials.

GOTS certified

The leading standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed by an independent certification of our entire textile supply chain.

Recycled nylon

We partner with REPREVEÂŽ to make recycled performance fiber out of plastic bottles.

Using REPREVEÂŽ means our clothes are:
• Super resistant to abrasion, pilling and tearing.
• The softest in the game.
• Cool to the touch. REPREVE® uses chemical-free technology for cooling comfort––perfect for a hard day on the course.
• Timeless. Literally. Our fabrics maintain their fit and shape over time, so you can wear your favorite looks forever.

Made by Humans, for Humans

We’re committed to taking care of humans––the ones who wear our clothes, and make them.

We maintain ethical factory standards, pay fair wages, and only use organic, nontoxic dyes fit for human consumption. We’ve created a strict Code of Conduct to protect our workers––and we’re overachievers, so we’re always looking for ways to improve.

We read the fine print.

For far too long, the fashion industry has used toxic chemicals to cut costs and corners. That’s why we care so much about how we make our fabrics––so you can focus on the important things, like perfecting your swing.

TLDR: Human health and safety are at the heart of our production process.

• Run a socially responsible working environment.

The Responsible Route

You’ve got mail!

We’ve made our shipping process greener in three big ways:

1- Secured the (sustainable) bag Most of our shipments come in biodegradable, poly bags. They’re cute and they save the environment. Win-win.

2- Compostable snail mail We partner with a company that makes recycled and compostable mailers. Old school, meet the new, green wave.

3- Leave no trace packaging We’ve eliminated tissue paper from our packaging. No frills = no waste. It’s a small step, but it makes a huge difference.

TLDR: Our packages reach your door with the lowest possible carbon footprint.

Not all heroes wear capes, but they might wear Featherie.
